How long does it take for a pubkey added in my profile to give me ssh access for cloning/pushing? Is 15+ minutes normal?

It should be instantaneous.

Okay. Instantaneous is good.

I've removed, then re-added my ed25519 pubkey (screenshot, see attached, in browser) and attempted to fetch again.

After a bit of testing, I discovered that the .git is necessary on the end of the cloning url. It should be noted that github works either way, but it's reasonable to assume that your users will need to copy the clone url exactly.
