when adding a comment to an issue only a single line field is opened, this is misleading because you can use all the same multiline like in issue descriptions etc.

I would even suggest, not to use such a "popup" style but to show the field in the same place and style where the comment will be posted (like this comment here now) this is how forgejo, github, gitlab etc do it

Technically, it is not a single-line field. It is multiline, similar to chat apps as you type.

This has been in need of a UI revamp for some time, and I am looking forward to completely overhauling it with something new.
